There is a garden by the sea,
Where the white lilies grow,
In the garden there’s a pink lily,
Stoodout among the whitish rows.
Lovelier than any lily the pink lily is,
Pretty of pretty sublime,
If I am a bee, I wish to kiss,
That pink lily a hundred thousand times.
I wish to kiss it slow,
A hundred thousand score,
And then a thousand fold,
And a hundred thousand more.
If I am a bee I praise,
The day the lily first saw light,
The world so rarely dazed,
By such beautiful delight.
For bringing forth such wonder,
I praise the day of your birth,
I love you, O’ Flower amongst flowers,
I love with all my love.
Happy Birthday, my dear Wife…
