Siapa yang pertahankan “mini Hatyai”? Who is defending “mini Hatyai”?

Taman Pelangi, Juru, has been plagued with numerous illegal stalls for many years. Most of the stall owners even erected illegal and dangerous structures. The area was also known as “mini Hatyai” because of the alleged prostitutions going on there. Many residents had lodged complaints to the Government but the previous Government failed to provide any solution. Now when MPSP acted on this prolonged problem, certain parties are claiming that the Government is oppressing Malay traders. In fact, the local Malay community were among those who complained to the council because of the worrying presence of many foreign illegal traders and also because of the immoral activities in that area.

One of my colleagues even said that a Barisan Nasional leader actually gave him a thumbsup because he (the BN leader) was aware of the plight of the local residents but was unable to do anything in the past.
