This is it, we are now less than 12 hours to the polling day for the 14th General Election.
It was an intense campaigning period. Our team has been working around the clock, I have spoken in ceramahs in Bukit Mertajam, Penang as well as Kedah, Perak, Selangor, and Johor in the past one week.
I want you to know that through it all, you have been a great pillar of strength to me. Thank you very much.
Tomorrow, at 8am, voting will start.
All our work in the past week, nay, in the past five, ten years will culminate in the ballot box tomorrow.
What is left for us to do then is, simply to go out to vote.
Yes, there may be cheating and frauds and at this late hour, if you ask me, what can we do about it, I’ll tell you the same thing I have been telling you:
We must overcome the cynicism of “nothing will change“, and become ourselves part of the change we yearn to see.
Just imagine, if all of us go out to vote, despite the cynicism and fear, despite the knowledge that there will be cheating – yes it’s naive I know, but bear with me here – if all of us go all out to vote, and then encourage our friends and family to go all out to vote, if enough people do this tomorrow, tell me if that is not a revolution waiting to happen.
My dear friend, there is Hope, and it is getting stronger.
See you at the finishing line!
Bina Harapan, Menuju Putrajaya.
