沈志强:青体部配合支持 推广槟竞技叠杯运动

青年与体育部副部长沈志强表示,虽然竞技叠杯运动没被列入高效能运动项目内,不过,青体部会尽量配合及支持,无论是在资源或设备方面,同时也鼓励槟城竞技叠杯推广中心继续推广有关运动。

他说,青体部把国家体育政策列为3个重要部分,即高效能运动(High Performance Sports)、全民运动(Sports for all)、运动领域(Sports as an industry)等。高效能运动是属于国际型的竞赛如奥运会及能为国家带来奖牌的运动,由国家体育理事会管理,有16个主体育项目,如羽球、足球、跳水、脚车等。
